StGeorge Basin, NSW
— 2nd August 2009

Ready to launch at Basin View, the Rangie had an overheating problem on the way down the coast, the Turbo gasses started getting a bit on the high side, we took it to the Diesel dude at Nowra, the injectors finally showed the condition they were in (Bad), the cracking pressure was 300psi too early and late allowing far too much fuel into the chamber causing the overheating, shame the mechanic shorted out the master alternator's regulator, next off to the auto electrician to get the regulator replaced, surprise surprise, the auto electrician for some reason jacked the vehicle up using the link from the steering bow to the wheel a solid 20-22mm lump of hardened steel rod, now kinked, when I drove off from his workshop I thought he had for some reason release the steering column and put it back incorectly, the steering wheel was at 90 degrees to the position it was in when I drove it to him, when we loaded the boat onto the trailer at the ramp the extra weight showed what had really happened, the steering link twisted to the shape of an overbent boomerang. Not as restful time away as we expected.
Launched
We too a bit of time to relax as well as sail, the sun felt really good after nights that reached -3 degrees celcius.
Linda and I enjoyed our time sailing Imagine during the few days we managed to get away.
Anchored close to the beach, a MacGregor sailboat allows you to get very close to the shore line, then all you need do is lift the helm seat and step off to go ashore.
Captain Linda getting to know how to handle Imagine under sail.
Palm Beach, a beautiful place to stay, we spent two nights here, the first night gave us one of the most spectacular sights at approximatly 2:30 AM we both had a look around outside, there wasn't a puff of wind or cloud in the sky, the moon and every star were perfectly reflected in the water as if it was being reflected by a black mirror .... Glorious.
