Millinery, however not as we know it today, seems to have always been around ever since the first cave dwellers who wore pelts to keep them warm.
Since then millinery has become more complex and extravagant with the use of various materials, feathers, beads, pearls and crystals intertwined to create an eye catching accessory.
I have been learning millinery over the last few years through learning guides / dvd’s and workshops with the head milliner for the Sydney Opera House.
On this page you will find examples of some of my headwear.
Remember, when buying headwear make sure you determine your head size first. To start, measure the circumference of your head using a flexible tape measure just above the top of your ears. Wrap gently around the head making certain the tape lies midway on your occipital bone (the little bump in the middle back of your head).
